What Customers Say About DEWALT DW723 Miter Saw Stand:

Yes, it won't be missed. Before this there were saw horses and milk crates- and then shimming under the board you're cutting so it stays flat/level. And then knocking over the shims. This is a great design: folds up, has a carry handle, adjustable supports, sturdy, not too heavy. My only complaint is it should come with better hardware to mount the saw supports- it should have nylon locknuts and better flat washers instead of nuts and lockwashers.

The dewalt DW723 miter saw stand works very well. I wonder how I ever got along without it. I highly recommend it.It's quick and easy to set up, and it can be used anywere.

Just slide the extensions in and fold up the legs. Amazon had a great price on this saw stand, so I finally bought it.It's so much more fun to work with the saw up off the ground. Even though it's relatively light weight and very portable, it's still very stiff once it's set up. :) I'm using it with a Dewalt sliding compound miter saw, and it fits on perfectly. It was easy to put together, and the portability is great. The long extensions on each side also make cutting crown moulding so much easier for me.I can't believe I waited so long to finally buy a decent saw stand. It's worth every penny.

The stand is fairly compact, set's up easily, tears down just as fast, and doesn't really weigh all that much. I did figure out a way to make this easier, I clamped a 1x6x16' board to the entire setup, it helps, but just doesn't seem right.Don't get me wrong, it does do it's job, you just need to be aware of it's limitations and work around them.

However, like previously mentioned, if you are trying to cut anything longer than 8' beware. This stand is great for lifting the saw up to a reasonable working height and for handling more than arm's length material.

I find it very difficult to have to keep moving the arms closer with each cut when I'm cutting down long material. The extension arms are a great concept, they just need a little more R & D.

If you are cutting anything with a little weight to it the arms sag. When I moved from working out on the job site to working soley in my shop I packed up the stand and put it up on a shelf (where's it's been for the last year).

For a DIY'er it's a good buy, for that contractor that needs to cut long pieces of molding here and there it's a must have, just remember you need to deal with the sagging.

DEWALT DW723 Miter Saw Stand at a very good price but delivered killed by UPS (Uniformly Poor Service)handling. Their people are as about as nice as the counter folks at the post office. This is the first such problem ever with an Amazon purchase and they acted quickly to correct it. One knob was broken, had adented leg and feet that appear used. No, the dewalt store had the same piece for the same price, in a factory sealed box, just plus state tax. Maybe that's why the good price. It was in an open box, resealed by a few pieces of tape. I figure I have about five hours of my time, and more.since I could not use the first one when it arrived, so the $219 with "free" shipping was not such a good deal.Is there an upside.yes.

Strangely the replacement was delivered pretty much the same way, only without the broken parts. Taking it back to UPS was a hassle. Would I do it again. I've had more than the tax in hassle. That's the way it was.
